The picture currently at the top of this blog is of Brighton Pier, formerly known as the Palace Pier. (That’s Brighton on the south coast of England, not Brighton, Alabama), taken in October of this year on an unusually sunny day.

The picture currently at the top of the tea tray is the other Brighton pier, the West Pier, which continues to collapse into the sea due to neglect. One day however it will be replaced by the wondrous and wondrously expensive viewing tower designed by the designers of the famous and famously impressive London Eye. I would rather they just preserved the ruin. I love ruins.
