happy new year
Yesterday was warm. We went to this event , decided not to spend $10 each on the indoor events that enabled you to make a hat from a paper bag etc, and everyone complained about walking around the streets in the terrible heat and sun. I said we were looking for fun, which was true; there were some moments of event, but they were very dotted around the town centre, so it was mostly looking. “I only like in fun, I don’t like out fun!” Sometimes one is just so content at home, there is no desire to leave the house. Except to the mall, obviously, in pursuit of extra robots.
That robot in the post below was real, however. I just wrote the post unclearly so it looked like a dream. Those events really did happen, although I failed to mention that Super Maximo’s early morning call was enabled by his escort.
Happy 2006! 2005 was wild, amazing and fabulous for me. Not in a jet-setting around the place undertaking glamorous assignments for professional clients way, but in a life-of-the-mind-and-soul way. Although time was spent on both sides of the pond and there were trips to Switzerland, Budapest and Salzburg, plus a whole month living in Berlin, which was great. I saw lots of interesting arty films with these people, played a lot of piano (having bought my first ever piano in the summer) and painted a decent number of paintings. Also we moved house and got married! And I got this green card thing, which is not green but will allow me to do more things next year, eg. earn money!
The day after my kids jet back to England, we’ll be jetting to Florida to check out a few things there. More when it happens. Meantime, enjoy what’s left of the holidays and remember- all that overbuying chocolate means you can eat it right through January as well! Everyone does that, right?
